The course involves reading and analyses of various articles, which will be interpreted both for language and contextual comprehension in view of business and other topics of current interest. All aspects and problems of modern journalism in general and of the Japanese press in particular, its impact on the Japanese society, will be studied. Discussions in class by groups or panels will provide an in-depth analysis of the journalistic effectiveness of the articles selected
