BG 1203 Fundamentals of Statistics 3 credits
Prerequisite: BG 0200 Remedial Mathematics
This course is designed to introduce students to the basic concepts of statistics and to enable them to relate statistics to real-life problems. Emphasis will be on the collection of data, tabulation and graphical presentation, measures of central tendency, measures of dispersion, normal distribution and standard scores, basic concepts of probability, sampling distributions and hypothesis testing, chi-square, nonparametric statistics, regression and correlation.
