BS Physics
The BS Physics Program was designed to give the physics major a thorough understanding of the practical and experimental principles of physics balanced with an in-depth appreciation of the corresponding theoretical background of these principles. It prepares a well-trained and competent physicist essential for the development of the nation’s basic scientific and technological needs. Materials physics, environmental physics, and optics are among the special areas of emphasis of the program. Graduates find employment as technically capable managers, engineers, professors, and researchers in private and government organizations both here and abroad.
